A degree is only one part of education. What a student carries away from college — discipline, curiosity, respect for others — matters just as much.

Our teachers work closely with students at every stage: in the classroom, in the laboratory, in the library and beyond the syllabus.

We give particular attention to students who are the first in their families to attend college, and to those who need support to stay in education.

My door is open to students and parents who need guidance, and I am glad to be part of an institution that measures itself by the progress of its students.

Quality in higher education is not a certificate on a wall. It is the daily habit of asking whether our students are learning what they need.

As IQAC co-coordinator, I work with departments on feedback, evaluation reform, documentation and the steady improvement of teaching.

The college's research centre and the 107 doctorates awarded in the last five years show what sustained attention can achieve.

Our next steps are to strengthen digital learning, student support and the link between the classroom and the world of work.
